Lanboss Preview is a really simple to use application that allows you to print Oracle™ Financials reports to regular laser printers, rather than needing an expensive dot matrix or line printer for printouts. It automatically scales 80/132 column reports to your local printer's paper size. The printer output can be manipulated to fit either portrait or landscape orientation to save time in editing data and reduce costs. Oracle™ Financials reports no longer need to be imported into Word or another editor to print them off, which ensures that reports are not manipulated in any way.

Lanboss Preview has a simple user interface that is modelled on the Microsoft Office look and feel:
The Main Form shows the report as it will be printed out, i.e. a WYSIWYG view. The toolbar is user configurable, so it is possible to remove items that may not be absolutely needed for most users. The options include the ability to change fonts, margins and much more.
The File menu carries many of the same options as the main toolbar, so these can still be accessed from here if they have been removed from the toolbar. The most important functionalities are the History item that allows the user to keep previous reports for future reference and the ability to Save to PDF which stops wasting paper!

Lanboss Preview can work with any ASCII (text) file that needs printing on a printer that uses proportional fonts.

Part of the configuration of a workstation with Preview is that it sets up its file association, meaning that whenever the user opens a file with the associated extension, that Preview will be launched and load the file.

- Mono Spaced Fonts - Uses standard mono spaced fonts to ensure columns are straight and allows a laser printer to simulate a 132 column dot matix printer
- Automatic Font Scaling - Scales the text font size to match the printer page's width and height
- Zoom - the page can be viewed at virtually any Zoom level. With 'Whole Page' selected, the image will dynamically fill the main Preview dialog
- Printer Selection - You may select and configure the printer you wish to print to directly from the main dialog
- Page Borders - to cater for printouts that need to be punched and put in files, for easy readability
- Admin Mode - By using the /S command line switch, you will have Preview save all its settings to registry so that you can export and distribute the settings to other users
- Default Mode - Using the /D command line switch preview will load its internal default values instead of reading them from the registry
- Document History - Quickly recall previous documents without running the reports again on the Oracle™ system
- PDF Output - Save the current document as an Adobe PDF file rather than printing
