Server Manager

Overview

Server Manager has been created to provide a full suite of tools to audit and manage your servers. It has all of the same mass auditing, management and migration capabilities as the Workstation Manager, with many server specific features added:

• Server Hardware and Software Auditing
• Service Alerts and Management
• UNC references within stored files
• Server Storage Landscaping
• Migration Planning
• Patch Management
• Terminal Services auditing

It is ideally suited to audit and manage an existing server estate, as well as having many features to help in the preparation for specific projects like:

• Server consolidation and rationalisation
• HSM planning and Data migration
• Organisational merges
• Due diligence auditing

Server Manager works as a background process on Novell and Microsoft servers, so does not require logging on at the server console to perform its work. A remote version is available to allow for auditing servers within DMZ environments or other locations where there are connectivity restrictions.

The product has been built to integrate with the same backend systems (distribution, proxy and console) as the other Lanboss management tools, so there's nothing new to install or configure. To add server management capabilities to your existing Lanboss system, all you need to do is add the Server Manager License, distribute the agents, then start reporting!
