Overview

Lanboss Maxx controls access to and reports on the use of corporate IT facilities. Rules are used to enforce IT usage policies to guarantee system and information access integrity. Users are subject to rules to control the Maximum Logon Connections allowed at any time per user or group.

Lanboss Maxx can control your user environment with unique features like:

  • Forcing a maximum logon count per user, in a user friendly and informed way
  • Maintaining system access security by being able lock out any given user, with immediate effect
  • Rules based processing allowing control of Users, Communities, Workstations by name, IP address, network Zones and by time
  • Retaining security and guaranteeing user integrity
  • Protecting roaming profiles from being overwritten
  • Loging off or shuting down machines that are inactive for a prescribed period, saving huge amounts on the electricity bill!
  • Logins and Logoffs are noted immediately, avoiding the 30 minute lag inherent in Novell systems
  • Live Estate monitoring through a dual display corridor monitor system
  • Reporting on all aspects of user, workstation, application and service level

Restrictions can be made for number of concurrent logons, IP subnets and logon times. Live monitoring of the environment gives the ability to monitor active workstation usage and is able to meter user application usage across the entire estate. Ad hoc capabilities include the ability to force logout any one or more users as well as being able to lock out workstation login from users.
A full suite of reports is available, with the ability for operators to add their own customised outputs. Typical reports include machine and user utilisation and overall application usage outputs.
